Welcome to my blog, which is yet another Star Wars blog, by yet another fan within the growing Star Wars fandom, which is a community despite their disagreements and differences. We all have one thing in common which is that this franchise has brought us contentment and something to look forward to.
I decided to open a blog after more than two years of heavy consumption of Star Wars content. I was first introduced to Star Wars as a child, when Episode I: The Phantom Menace released. I didn't quite get it back then, and didn't actually see my first Star Wars film until Episode II: Attack of The Clones, which I saw in a local theater on a school trip.
After that, I waited patiently until Episode III released, and was gutted when it ended and I finally realized who Darth Vader really is. For a fan still trying to understand the saga, this was a shocker. Post Episode III, I admit that I slowly drifted away from Star Wars, since comics were never my thing, and I never felt comfortable joining the online community.
Which brings me to why I have included an image from "The Mandalorian" in my first blog post. The show about our favorite helmeted paternal figure and his mischievous force sensitive child is what brought me back to Star Wars. I admit to having very little excitement or curiosity for the sequels because I'd drifted so far away from Star Wars as a while. I began to casually watch YouTube videos around 2018-2019 to find out whether or not Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor would make a return to the franchise. At the time, I wasn't too hopeful that they would. In the process, I began stumbling upon scenes from The Mandalorian season 1 in my recommendations.
While I tried to avoid them at first, the season 2 trailer made me give in. From that point on, I've watched both seasons of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi Wan Kenobi, all 7 seasons of The Clone Wars, almost all 4 seasons of Star Wars: Rebels, Rogue One, and now Andor. All of this content has brought me joy in unique ways and I am so glad I go to experience it, but the credit goes to Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni for The Mandalorian, a show which has brought joy to long time fans, fans who'd drifted away and lost interest, and even lured in new fans to the franchise.
Currently, I'm enjoying Andor season 1, and I'll be discussing that regularly in my blog posts. Stay tuned and thank you for reading. May the force be with you, and this is the way!
