The trailer starts with a look at several Mandalorians walking on top of a rocky, mountainous terrain. Din Djarin poetically describes the state of Mandalorians. "Our people are scattered, like stars in a galaxy. What are we? What do we stand for?" He asks. Din Djarin then emerges from a cave like place and is surrounded by Mandalorians on both sides. The scene shifts to Din and Grogu on the N1 Starfighter, and Din continues speaking in the background. It is unclear whether he is addressing Grogu, or is speaking to other Mandos. It's possible the lines have been spliced together strategically, something which is often the case with trailers.
The footage is likely from just the first 3-4 episodes of season 3. Regardless, it is extremely impressive. At one point, Din and Grogu seem to be flying through a planet which looks similar to Ireland and Scotland in terms of landscape. The ship looks similar to the Mandalorian Gauntlets seen on The Clone Wars. They narrowly escape several Tie-Fighters. There are looks at Jedi, Dr Pershing, Anzellans, Peli Motto, Greef Karga, The Armorer, and a whole lot of Mandalorians. The trailer ends with an exciting scene in which Grogu force pushes an unknown creature. It also seems very likely that this season will give us the answer for the question of who saved Grogu during Order 66?
It's an impressive look at the new season of the show, and the standard of writing, visuals and stakes seem to have picked up in comparison to the previous 2 seasons. This is exactly what Jon Favreau has promised. Mandalore and Mandalorians will feature heavily in season 3, and the role Din Djarin plays in the rebuilding of the Mandalorian home world, and what he decides his own place is in the galaxy is what will mark the beginning of a new phase in his and Grogu's life.
