Disney releases Original Short "Zen- Grogu and The Dustbunnies" as The Mandalorian turns 3 years old

 

 On this day, 3 years ago, the first episode of The Mandalorian premiered on Disney Plus. Today, in celebration of the day we got our first look at the little green guy, Disney released a new animated short titled "Grogu and The Dustbunnies". Ludwig Goransson (The Mandalorian, Tener, Wakanda Forever) has composed the music for the short. The short was made in collaboration with the Japanese animation studio, Studio Ghibli. Dave Filoni and Kathleen Kennedy have reportedly met with Studio Ghibli, so perhaps there are some more animated Star Wars projects on the way. For now, fans can enjoy this adorable little gift to mark the day when the beloved show first launched.

 The Mandalorian Season 2 ended in December 2020. The 3rd season is due out in early 2023, and according to Production Weekly, Season 4 films in the first quarter of 2023.
