'Skeleton Crew' and 'Ahsoka' to explore unknown areas of Galaxy

 

MakingStarWars.com has even more leaks, and this time they involve the Skeleton Crew series starring Jude Law, as well as Ahsoka. These two shows have been filming at the same time, and according to Jason Ward, they're linked, and Ahsoka might even show up in Skeleton Crew, however this isn't confirmed. Take this information with a grain of salt, but here's what Jason Ward had to say about Skeleton Crew and the rumors regarding the unknown areas of the galaxy it will explore:

Remember when we first heard about Skeleton Crew and the rumors were it took place in High Republic “era?” I think the wires might have been crossed and someone heard “new era” and reduced it to The High Republic. The truth is it seems to be a new “area” not a new “era.” 

 When the children in Skeleton Crew end up “lost in space,” we the audience will be as lost as they are. Most of our previous Star Wars knowledge of the universe will be irrelevant as this is a new universe in the same timeline, reality, and continuity. So as they explore the universe trying to make their way home, we are with them for that journey. In other words, if reality resembles the way things sound at the moment, do not expect our new cast to explore a greatest hits of Star Wars‘ past locations. They are the place the furthest from it all.

He then goes on to explain how this ties into Ahsoka and possible The Mandalorian Season 4:

The rumor is that Ahsoka will introduce the concepts that Skeleton Crew will explore. The issues from Skeleton Crew are likely to impact the fourth season of The Mandalorian. However, since that has yet to film, it is an assumption of my sources at this time but they see it as a given, considering what the kids in Skeleton Crew encounter out there.

If you weren't already excited for these shows, then this should probably get you revved up.  It will be interesting to see how many of these leaks turn out to be true. We won't have the answer to that question so soon. Up next on the Star Wars calendar is The Bad Batch in January, and the next live action series won't be released until March 1st, and that, just in case you've forgotten, is The Mandalorian Season 3.
