There was brand new footage of The Mandalorian Season 3 shown to those attending CCXP22. The lucky fans got to see new glimpses that included Din Djarin running from TIE fighters, and a look at what appears to be Coruscant. BespinBulletin.com provided a summary of what the footage actually shows. Here's an excerpt of what they had to say:
The footage begins with Din Djarin and Grogu venturing to Mandalore going to Mandalore in an attempt to regain Din’s honour after he removed his helmet during the second season of The Mandalorian. Bo-Katan Kryze sits atop a throne of Mandalore angered and frustrated as she thinks of the Darksaber, which Djarin is the owner of. There’s glimpses of Greef Karga and Peli Motto, a scrapped Star Destroyer, as well as a planet that very much looks like Coruscant. Several action scenes play out including Din Djarin running away from TIE Fighters. The footage ends with our beloved Grogu reaching out and using the force against a monster.
Could Din and Grogu be paying a visit to Coruscant? That's an exciting development if it turns out to be true. More Star Destroyers and TIE Fighters are certain welcome, as well as Grogu using the force on a monster. Could it be the Mythosaur, or some other creature? No idea yet when this footage will be released for all of us to see. Previously, there were rumors that a poster for Season 3 will come out around December 14th-15th, and a trailer was expected on Christmas. But LucasFilm usually releases trailers around 6 weeks before a show premieres. In that case we shouldn't expect to see it until sometime in January.
Hopefully the trailer will come out sooner, perhaps as a Christmas surprise from LucasFilm.
